Life of Riley & Emerson: 15 months and counting!

We turned 15 months old at the beginning of November!

Emerson, 15 months, 17lbs 14oz

Today was our check up and we did great even though we had to get three shots. We weigh right around 18 lbs and are a little over 29 inches tall. We love to show off all 29 inches because we are always pulling up, trying to stand, cruising around and even walking with the help of our walkers!

I have my two bottom teeth and Riley's first tooth, the bottom right, is popping through! We eat all of our food by ourselves now and no more baby food! Some of our favorites are turkey, pancakes, scrambled eggs, green beans, peaches, pizza and graham crackers. We have also started drinking more from our sippy cups and less from our bottles but that's still a work in progress.

We can wave hi and bye, we give lots and lots of kisses to all of our toys, to Mommy and Daddy, Arlie and Ashby. We get so excited when Daddy comes home from work we shriek and bounce up and down when he comes in the door. We are very vocal, mostly Dadadadada, but occasionally we copy a word from Mommy. She's heard Riley's versions of birthday, bumble bee and Ashby. Riley can imitate the sound of a monkey and I growled like a lion. We are always cracking each other up by peering over our cribs, playing peek a boo with our blankets, or making funny voices in our high chairs. We love books, we love pointing to different animals and looking at pictures of other little kids. Our favorite book is Pat the Bunny, I love to kiss the bunny and Riley loves to squeak the dolly's ball.

We've gotten so big that Mommy and Daddy finally had to get rid of our baby tub and now we get to take a bath in the big kids tub! We even get to take a bath together at night which is a lot of fun!

We love to play in our playroom. Riley loves to carry around a puzzle piece shaped like a rooster wherever she goes. Daddy is ready for her to learn how to put the pieces back together because he has to put the puzzles together every night after we go to sleep. My favorite thing is to pull up and play with the toys on the bookshelves, especially my Little People doll house and to look out the door or the window.

We love to go to the playground. The swings are our favorite. Daddy had a work holiday today so they took us to a new park and we got to do all sorts of fun stuff like climb through a tunnel, walk up a ramp and slide down the slides. This was a happy ending to our doctor appointment in the morning.
