Life of Riley & Emerson: We are TWO!

We are 2 years old!

Emerson Haley, 2 years old

Riley Elizabeth, 2 years old

We have our 2 year old check up next week and will report back on our official measurements but Mommy and Daddy think we are growing up really fast!

We've made lots of friends at school and even talk about a little boy Ky Ky in our class every night at home. Mommy says he is our boyfriend whatever that means. Our teachers say we are the best talkers and eaters in our class, I guess that runs in the family.

We love to play chase with each other around the room which usually ends up in hysterical giggle attacks. We've started talking in "sentences" which usually sounds something like "Riley milk" and "Aya (what we call Emerson) all done" We try to repeat almost everything Mommy and Daddy say and love learning new words. Just this past week we learned about sea shells, sea gulls, the ocean and bathing suits. We love to color, take our dolls for walks in their strollers, and play with our kitchen (chi-chen). We love to sing the ABCs and "Tick Tock", a song we learned at library hour. We spin in circles to get "dizzy" and love running around in our diapers which we call "ney ney girl" (naked girl). We think its funny to answer every question with "chot-chi-chee" (cottage cheese). We still give the best hugs and kisses and are the most smiley kids around. We're always good for pointing out a "meh meh" (mess) and for finding bits on the floor.

We love going on adventures...to the pool, a new playground, the grocery store, out to dinner for "piya" or out for ice cream (Emerson calls it "gree gree" and asks for it almost every night after dinner). Daddy usually says yes just to get out of bath time.

We were lucky and got to stretch our birthday out this year! We got a bunch of presents at home before we left for vacation, we had our first school party with ice cream sundaes and we had a big beach party celebration at the beach for our actual birthday with all of Daddy's family.
