2.25 Years Old!

We continue get busier and busier each month!  We went to the NICU follow along clinic with Daddy after our 2 year birthday and they said we did so well that we graduated and don't have to go back! We showed them how we could do puzzles, stack blocks, draw circles, say our colors, and climb up and down the steps.

Emerson loves to dress up...the more necklaces, hats, bracelets and shoes the better! I love "cuh-luh-ling" (coloring),or really any arts and crafts activity.

We love Pizza Friday when we get to go out for pizza after school.  However, if you ask us what we want to eat, you'll generally get one of three answers...cake, ice cream or cottage cheese.   Usually in that order.

We always want to "See it?  See it?"  This can be when someone runs over a skunk outside our school, when Daddy's dinner is all done, when the mailman is coming down the street or when a school bus drives by.  We like to "see it?" when Mommy is making dinner most of all, sometimes she even lets us help.

We like to try and guilt Mommy and Daddy into playing by leaning over the gate in our playroom and saying "Mommy play?"  "Daddy sit down?"  We are constantly asking Mommy and Daddy to "play a game?"   We like to play a match card game we got from our GG.  Usually this just involves Emerson carrying around the card of a boy and me passing out the rest of the cards to anyone else who will play while not actually ever playing a real game :).   Any toy that plays a song is also a hit.   We love pushing our baby dolls around in their strollers, rubbing their backs until they fall asleep, feeding them bottles and changing their diapers.

Would you believe it if we told you we still love to sing Round and Round??  Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and ABCs are our two other favorites at the moment.  We ask to hear the Giving Tree or the Tickle Tree almost every night at bedtime.  We can practically recite Brown Bear Brown Bear and we like to read books ourselves too.  We love to get "big kisses" from Mommy and Daddy before bed, often asking "one more big kiss...ahhhhhh?"  We started sleeping with a blanket, Emerson likes to be covered up by her "buh-lang-kit", I just like to ball mine up to use it as a pillow.

Our hair is slowly growing.  Now every morning when we wake up, we have a bit of a punk rock do going on.  Mommy says I have a rooster crown and that maybe Elvis would have been a more appropriate Halloween costume this year.   We both weigh about 24lbs.  Our current "tell" for those who need a little assistance figuring out who is who are the two little freckles on the tip of my nose.  Even our teacher at school has to wait until we are up close before she knows which one we are!

Most of the time we are very kind and affectionate sisters.  Emerson gets upset when "Riley sad, no crying" and I don't like it if anyone has a "boo boo, fall down, band aid."  We love to give hugs and kisses, to rub backs and to hold hands.  We love playing chase behind the cribs in our room and around the island in the kitchen, making each other laugh so hard we fall down.  Sure we sometimes fight over toys, try to push each others buttons, or generally act like siblings, but most of the time we sure are happy we have each other as a best friend and constant companion!
