Hands In Your Pants

Mommy came and visited and held us both which we of course enjoyed very much.

Emerson got a blood transfusion today, she is back on her milk at 1.5 ml an hour.  They will quickly bump her back up to 3.6 ml an hour in 12 hours or so.  She is doing good, only had one brady today when Mommy was holding her, she got to comfortable, who could blame her!  Emerson is on the CPAP machine at level 4, which is the lowest it will go.  In about a week or so if she is still breathing well, she will be off the CPAP machine altogether.

I am off of my billi light to see if my liver can handle getting rid of the blood toxins on its own.  I am getting 3.8 ml of milk an hour which is good.  The nurses will continue to increase Emerson and my feeds every 12 hours.  My CPAP machine is set at 5, one above Emerson.  I will probably be on it a little longer than Emerson.  Here is a picture of me getting ready for some Redskins football:

Some of you have been wondering, what is our day like.  Well we sleep most of the day.  Every 4 hours the nurse comes and takes our temperature, changes our diapers, and changes our CPAP masks and body positions.  Then we go back to sleep for another 4 hours.  When Mommy or Daddy want to hold us, we get all of that stuff done and then they hold us for an hour.  We enjoy that time the most!

Daddy came in the evening again, like he does every work day.  He usually does our 4-5pm diaper change, then heads home for dinner with Mommy around 6:30.

Today we got our birth certificates, its official we are no longer illegal aliens!
