Daddy and Mommy both got to feed us and snuggle us. Here I am enjoying my bottle with Daddy. Emerson enjoyed hers so much she sucked down all 25ccs in 5 minutes. Daddy let go of the bottle at one point and it didn't even fall out of her mouth because she had such a strong grip on it. I tuckered out after about 10 minutes, but that's because I was wide awake playing with Mommy for about 20 minutes before it was time to eat. She has to brush up on her nursery rhymes because we had to sing the same few songs over and over while we played. Daddy wanted to read us a zombie book but Mommy said it may give us bad dreams.
Our nurse said that the food fairy will come visit us soon. She visits all preemies and helps them learn to eat, almost overnight it seems. We can't wait until that happens because it means we can get our feeding tubes out. She usually visits preemies before their 40th week, so hopefully she comes soon. She has already started to work some of her magic which is why we are starting to wake up before our feeds are due. Here is Emerson wondering where her lunch is.
All of our blood work for this week looks great. Our red blood cells are doing so well we get to stop our iron supplement and switch our vitamins. As of tonight, the only medicine we will be taking will be vitamins and a diuretic. They both get put in our milk before we eat so we don't have to taste them.
