Today Mommy and Daddy got to bring in our car seats so that the nurse could make sure that they would fit us. We only sat in them for a second, but when we are ready to go home, they will fit us great! Especially since we still have some growing to do. Riley is up to 5lbs 4oz and I weigh 4lbs 13oz.

Riley took 41ccs from a bottle this morning but was pretty tuckered out when Daddy tried to feed her this evening and she had a brady after about 17ccs. Eating takes a lot of work and one of the things the doctor tells us we have to work on is "oral consistency." This means that we can consistently eat our milk by mouth. Right now, Riley is allowed to try to drink every other feeding (50ccs) by mouth if she's awake. Even though she took 41ccs this morning, during the night she only took 10ccs when the nurses tried to feed her and she was too sleepy to eat with Mommy at noon. I am able to have 10ccs of milk every other feeding. It only takes me a few minutes to drink 10ccs, so I am not getting quite as tired. We both will keep practicing.
